We are going back to Uganda, Africa this June! Our team includes five graduate and undergraduate Public Health interns from BIOLA University, along with our family. We're excited for these students to meet our Ugandan friends, put theory into practice, and contribute to these communities through their graduate projects. On this trip, we will work in equal collaboration with our local partners to:

Finish up a formal community assessment with our partners on the ground
Bring first aid supplies for the communities with no access to care
Deliver school supplies
Conduct community trainings
Work on a women's hygiene project
Continue to build relationship with local government leaders
Meet with a local university for collaboration
Set goals as a team to improve community health outcomes for the upcoming year and beyond

We started this global health organization, Meeting TENTS (Meeting The Everyday Needs To Survive) for these exact moments (Meetingtents.org). We do not believe in a first-world and third-world, but rather one world where everyone should be valued, treated with dignity, and have access to high quality health care and education. We believe in the Ugandan people, the strength and wisdom that they carry, and we are honored to come alongside our friends there to assist them however we can.

Would you consider investing in improving health and education in these communities? We are aiming to raise $10,000 to fund supplies, shipping, and training costs. We will also be bringing crates of supplies, because some of the villages have no mail system. If you don’t want to go shopping for the items, you can provide the monetary amount listed and we will get the items for you.
