Make Sunsets is pioneering a bold approach to climate mitigation by deploying sunlight-reflecting particles into the stratosphere — a modern, controlled version of the cooling effect seen after stratovolcanic eruptions like Mount Pinatubo (1991) and Hunga Tonga (2022).
By turning solar geoengineering into a scalable service, the company offers a pragmatic way to temporarily reduce global temperatures while the world catches up on excess emissions reductions and carbon removal. Their Cooling Credits let individuals, companies, and eventually governments fund these deployments, creating a rare 1-to-1 million leverage against carbon dioxide emissions.
Each dollar you donate will go to deploy one "Cooling Credit" into the stratosphere, which offsets the warming effect of one metric ton of carbon dioxide for a year. We will email you confirmation of delivery of your Cooling Credits along with a video of the deployment. Here is an example of what a delivery confirmation looks like.
