To circumnavigate is to go all the way around something, and what better place to do this than our very own island of Manhattan with our very best friends! A circumnavigation of Manhattan is one of the ultimate challenges testing a paddler's endurance and mental fortitude through a variety of difficult conditions! Ke Aloha is growing due to the kokua (help) of so many donors.

Aside from our supporting paddler donations, this fundraiser is Ke Aloha Outrigger's primary source of revenue in order for us to support our operations of providing free and low-cost paddling education to the community at Hoboken Cove Boathouse. These funds in the past have supported not only the maintenance of our fleet but also to develop a variety of public programs that focus on the sport and cultural practices of outrigger canoe paddling.

All donations collected go towards the support of our programming which includes our biggest expense, the maintenance of our fleet. While we have been lucky to have dedicated volunteers work on the repairs of our watercraft in house, there are some things that still need to be professionally done. Our amas, the outrigger support that is essential to our canoes, are in need of major repairs during the off season. Your donation would go towards the refurbishment of those amas. Without your help, three of our four boats would be offline next year which would eliminate 75% of our capacity.

Please help us continue on this voyage by donating! We are pleased to open our circumnavigation to ECORA members and their canoes. We feel it is a great way to further build our relationships with others and bond through this common challenge. Our flotilla will be a huge presence on the NYC waterways and will help increase the awareness of our organization, our mission and the spirit of aloha that is inherent in this sport.
