Bring the whole family and join us at Margie's Garden! 10am - noon: Highline Espresso + Tea will be serving specialty coffee drinks for purchase. 10:30am - 11:30am: Come practice yoga and mindfulness in the garden with Holly from Cultivate Yoga MKE! In this class kids and their grown-ups will use physical poses, mindfulness practices, stories, games, and crafts to practice connecting with their bodies, their breath, with nature, and with each other. All abilities and levels of experience welcome (for kids and grown-ups!). Kids of all ages are welcome, though class will be most geared towards ages 2-7. Please bring your own mats and/or picnic blanket to practice on. If you have any questions about whether this class is a good fit for your child, please email Holly at [email protected]. Yoga session is included with your admission. Please note space may be limited around Margie's Stage so arrive early! 2pm - 4pm: Free Calypso lemonade samples will be available while supplies last. Enjoy a refreshing beverage, sponsored by Calypso. Sidewalk chalk will be available for families to use as they play and explore within the garden. We'll have bubble machines on and coloring set up under the pavilion (while supplies last). Make sure to grab a Margie's Garden Scavenger Hunt map from the atrium to discover everything there is to do in the garden! Tickets must be purchased on this event page to receive the special discounted admission. Not only will you receive the best deal for your family ($1 for kids ages 3-12!), but your admission will also be donated to Margie's Smile, Inc. If tickets are purchased at the main desk at Boerner Botanical Gardens, regular Milwaukee County prices will apply for all ages and this revenue will not be donated to maintain the children's garden. Additionally, we recommend purchasing in advance to help ensure that we have the an accurate estimate for lemonade and other fun supplies. Upon purchasing your tickets, you will receive an email with your tickets attached. Bring your tickets with you to Boerner Botanical Gardens and present them to the team member at the main desk to receive your wristbands. With your wristband, you will have access to all of the gardens within Boerner Botanical Gardens for the day. Please note there is no re-entry. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Special activities and entertainment are planned to go on rain or shine. If there is severe weather in the area and Boerner Botanical Garden decides to close for the day, we will communicate the event status on the Margie's Garden Facebook page. All tickets are non-refundable. Our activities will wrap up around 4pm. Garden hours for Monday, July 7th are 10am - 6pm with last admission at 5pm All admissions to Boerner Botanical Gardens collected through this event page will be donated to Margie's Smile, Inc., the nonprofit that is responsible for maintaining Margie's Garden. 100% will be used for maintenance expenses, the core mission of Margie's Smile, Inc.
