I’m sitting in the US wishing I could do something to help people in the Ukraine. Donations to international relief agencies are great. But when I think about suffering, I think about people; their faces haunt me. Throwing money at the problem without concrete benefit didn’t feel good enough.
My dear friend Igor is originally from the Ukraine. Many of his friends and family are still there and he’s been a great resource for me to learn what the people directly impacted by the Russian invasion need. Maxim is a journalist/artist in the Ukraine and is documenting the war. Igor recently spoke with Maxim’s wife and learned that Maxim doesn’t have a vehicle to help with his war coverage.
And bam… Igor started a campaign to get a vehicle to Maxim giving folks like me an opportunity to do something concrete. Check out Igor’s message about Maxim and how valuable Maxim’s coverage has been to accurate journalism coverage in the US. Look at the faces in Maxim’s photos and think about how good it would feel to give money and see the difference you made. Please support Igor’s campaign. Please donate what you can. And when we get a vehicle to Maxim, I’ll continue to share Maxim’s progress and story with you.
Thank you.
