EVENT DESCRIPTION

This professional training program focuses on practical stream restoration techniques. Over four days, participants will learn to assess stream conditions and implement effective restoration practices using the IDNR River Restoration Toolbox. Working in teams, you'll combine classroom learning with field exercises to develop hands-on experience in stream assessment, data analysis, and solution development. The program provides professional development hours (PDHs) and prepares participants for advanced Level 2 training.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Those that design, review plans, and/or are involved in stream construction projects. This includes design professionals, engineers, landscape architects, biologists, ecologists, project managers, city and county staff, WMA coordinators, natural resources specialists, urban conservationists, university faculty, floodplain managers, environmental professionals in Iowa, and other interested professionals.

COURSE FEES (includes session lunches, beverages, and snacks)

Early Bird Registration (on or before March 31st, 2025): $875
Regular Registration (April 1st through May 4th, 2025): $950
Late Registration (on or after May 5th, 2025): $1,050

RECOMMENDED LODGING

Hotels in Cedar Rapids, Anamosa, and Monticello, Iowa are all approximately a 30 minute drive from the Horseshoe Lodge.
