For You Haiti is dedicated to providing life-saving medical care and support to children in La Gonave, Haiti. Despite the unprecedented political unrest and turmoil gripping the nation, we remain committed to ensuring that every child receives the care they deserve.

The Situation:
Haiti is facing unprecedented challenges, with political instability and gang violence threatening the safety and well-being of its people. Amidst this chaos, children are among the most vulnerable, lacking access to essential healthcare services and facing uncertain futures.

Here's a glimpse of what's happening:

Hospitals and clinics across Port au Prince have been forced to close their doors.
Our critical patients awaiting care in Port Au Prince have been sent back to the guest house and are trapped there, making it impossible to go home to la Gonâve but also impossible to receive medical care on the mainland.
With the suspension of UNHAS helicopter services, transporting patients and supplies from the mainland has become absolutely impossible.
All international and local flights have been canceled, further isolating the island.
Gang activity on the sea has severely restricted sailboat travel between La Gonave and Port Au Prince, hindering the delivery of essential supplies such as medical supplies and food.
Suppliers in Port Au Prince providing medicine and life-saving Plumpy’Nut have had to shut their doors indefinitely.

In these challenging times, our top priority is the well-being of our 29 dedicated staff members and patients with ongoing medical needs. Ensuring they have access to food and water is our primary focus.
