Since 1897, the theater in Shelburne Memorial Hall -- now renamed "The Shelburne Falls Theater at Memorial Hall,"  been a social and cultural gathering place for the Western Massachusetts community. It has done a wonderful job hosting many events and performances but it needs updates, improvements and repair to fully reach its potential. Thanks to support from the Mass Cultural Council, the Town of Shelburne, and private donors, we have a chance to completely transform the theater — but we need the help of our entire community

Our project has already replaced seats that were bought used over 100 years ago with modern seating, repaired the historic tin ceiling and wooden floors and will make many other crucial improvements, including a new seating design that will improve comfort, sight lines and accessibility.

We have over $500,000 in grants, local government support and past donations in hand or spent to date…but we need over $1,000,000 to reach our goals. Please help us to get there!

We’re passionate about preserving and improving this historic local treasure and bringing it fully to life with great performances and events . By doing this, we can leave a legacy that will make our wonderful community a better place than we found it.

The renovation of the Theater is a joint project of the Town of Shelburne and Memorial Hall Association, Inc., (MHA), a nonprofit charitable organization.  Donations to MHA are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. A small portion of donations to the capital campaign may be used for our administrative expenses.
