💗 Zendaya Update: Now We’re Working on Her Next Chapter

We have some good news about Zendaya! Her medical issues are behind her. ❤️🐾

Now we're tackling the next challenge: separation anxiety.

Zendaya has been diagnosed with separation and crate anxiety, and we're working closely with her veterinary team and Nerdy K9 Academy to find the right medication and dosage to help her succeed. Finding the right combination takes time, and while we've seen some small improvements, we've recently adjusted her medication in hopes of making even more progress.

At the same time, we're continuing to work slowly and patiently on crate training and helping Zendaya learn that being away from her people—and even the other dogs in her home—is okay.

She also attends doggy day camp once a week to help build her confidence and work on her independence.

All of this comes with ongoing costs—medication, training, day camp, and the everyday treats and supplies that help her succeed. Her campaign is helping us cover those expenses while also covering the medical costs we've already incurred to get her healthy.

Our goal isn't simply to find Zendaya an adopter. We want to set her up for success in her forever home. ❤️

We want the family who adopts Zendaya to get the happy, goofy, loving girl she is underneath the anxiety—and we are committed to giving her the time and support she needs to get there.

One thing is certain: Zendaya is the perfect combination of goofball and sweetheart, and she is absolutely worth fighting for. 🥰🐶

3/17/26: We have an important (and positive!) update on Zendaya 💛

Thanks to your support, Zendaya was able to receive her CT scan — and we are so relieved to share that she has a clean bill of health.

While we’re incredibly grateful for this outcome, her diagnostic visit ended up costing nearly $3,000, which was far more than we originally anticipated when we launched this fundraiser.

We are now working to recoup the cost of her CT scan so we can continue saying yes to dogs like Zendaya who need answers and care.

Zendaya is a sweet foster pup who has been struggling with ongoing potty issues for months. Despite vet visits, testing, and medication trials, nothing has brought her relief.

Our veterinarians now believe Zendaya may have an ectopic ureter, a congenital condition that affects bladder control. To confirm this and determine the best path forward, she urgently needs a CT scan.

📢 Update on Zendaya’s Diagnostics

We wanted to share an important update on Zendaya. We received the invoice from her diagnostic visit, and instead of the expected $800, the total came out to nearly $3,000.

This was far more than we originally anticipated when we launched this fundraiser.

Unfortunately, we’ve also learned that Zendaya will likely need a major surgery on top of these diagnostic costs in order to fix the issue and finally give her relief.
