The Drone Donation Request

The Concord Fire Department is a combination fire department located in McCracken County, Kentucky. In the last two months we have dealt with flooding emergencies in McCracken County. Concord Fire Department operates a county wide swift water rescue team. We have found in the recent incidents having a drone to monitor our teams and assist in locating trapped victims would be priceless. Neither CFD or any other fire department or rescue squad in McCracken County has a drone program. We do have access to the McCracken County Sheriff’s office drone but it is at their discretion and availability as to when and how it is utilized. We are requesting a drone that can be deployed with our swift water team as well as for any other agency in the area that has a need for it for search and rescue operations. Our department is staffed 20 hours every weekday and 10 hours on the weekends providing much better access and faster response to those in need. This would be an invaluable tool not only to our department but to any agency who requests our assistance.
