Mitzvah Day throughout the world is a day of social action where people volunteer to help others in their community. Each year we dedicate this time to teaching our children the importance of kindness, generosity and community giving. In honor of Mitzvah Day 2024, the children of the Burbank Temple Emanu El's Early Childhood Center are collecting tzedakah (donations) through their “Mitzvah Mile” fundraiser on November 1st, 2024 @ 10am. During the Mitzvah Mile event, our preschoolers put on an exciting show as they ride their bikes, trikes, and scooters around our playground's racetrack while parents, teachers and classmates cheer each other on! The money earned through this event will go to support the Family Service Agency of Burbank which treats the emotional and mental wellbeing of children and families through counseling and education.
