Our Story
The South Asian Bar Association of North America Foundation (SABA NA Foundation) supports access to justice through grant making and educational programming, by fostering collaboration among nonprofit organizations serving South Asian communities in North America, and by advancing causes important to the communities we serve. We focus on issues such as domestic violence, hate crimes, immigration rights, discrimination and racial profiling, and voting rights affecting the South Asian community in the United States and Canada.
SABA NA Foundation is the 501(c)(3) charitable arm of SABA North America. It has awarded well over 65 grants and raised over $1,000,000 in awards to over 40 non-profits and for public-interest fellowships over the years ranging from yearly grants, emergency Covid-19 relief grants including from a Night of Light fundraiser, a Pakistani flood relief effort, Los Angeles wildfire relief, and fundraising for the South Asian Legal Impact Initiative - including a two-year South Asian Legal Impact Fellowship at the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund (AALDEF) and for a Phase 2 new legal non-profit of the South Asian American Justice Collaborative (SAAJCO). Further, SABA NA Foundation continues to provide virtual programming to community members.
The SABA NA Foundation is here for you and our South Asian communities. We appreciate your support!
