Support for Karissa

This is an amazing moment in a sad story!

As a kid in Maine, the dream of going moose hunting is a dream come true. And that's how it was supposed to be for Karissa. Growing up as "Daddy's girl" and his hunting buddy, Karissa was over the moon when she found out her name was drawn for this years moose hunt.

However, that dream would soon be overrun with clouds and emotion for the family. Karissa's father Ethan's brain cancer, which had been dormant for years, was back. Not only was it back, but it was quickly determined it was extremely aggressive and it would be terminal for Ethan in a matter of months.

When we got the call to help this family a few weeks ago, we went into action. Help has come from across the State! Tenley Skolfield stepped up and immediately got the great folks, Courtney and Randy Bossie, of Dean's Den to cover the meals and lodging for the family. She also got guide John Pelletier to guide them. We immediately reached out to IFW to work on getting there hunt moved. Ethan was in need of urgent treatment and isn't expected to be able to walk for much longer. The hunt was originally scheduled for the October bull season. IFW was quick to get the hunt dates changed to this week in order to allow Ethan to participate and have this moment with Karissa!

We now need your help to memorialize this moment for them. We are asking for donations for the Hatt family to cover all of their processing costs and have the moose mounted
