The Mourning Glory Club $1 Million Campaign

We're raising $1 million to revolutionize support for suicide loss survivors – $500,000 for immediate program expansion and $500,000 for a permanent endowment to sustain our work for generations to come.

Who We Are

Mourning Glory Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Aleksei Archer after losing her father to suicide in 2017. We provide a 360° resource for suicide loss survivors, helping them navigate complex grief and transform pain into purpose through community support, education, and innovative healing programs.

Our approach combines compassion with authenticity, professional guidance with lived experience, and personal healing with community connection. We're the resource that understands grief doesn't always follow the expected path – it's raw, complex, and deeply personal. We create spaces where survivors can express their truth, form lifelong relationships, and ultimately live fulfilling lives where loss is transformed into love.

Why $1 Million?

$500,000 Working Capital will allow us to:

Expand weekly support groups nationwide
Develop our 9-Step healing program
Create comprehensive digital resources including app development
Launch "Grief Goes Mainstream" awareness campaign

$500,000 Endowment will:

Create a permanent funding stream ensuring Mourning Glory's sustainability
Generate approximately $25K annually to support core operations and provide scholarships for free therapy
Allow us to focus on program delivery rather than constant fundraising
Ensure that future generations of survivors have resources available immediately

The Impact of Your Donation

Every year, 1.5 million Americans become suicide loss survivors, yet only 25% receive specialized support. Suicide loss isn't just grief – it's grief compounded by stigma, shame, guilt, and isolation.

Your donation helps us provide the comprehensive support that suicide loss survivors desperately need:

Community Connection: Weekly support groups where it's safe to speak truth and be fully seen
Video Program: Structured programs that guide survivors from trauma to resilience
Professional Development: Training for mental health professionals in suicide postvention
Public Education: Campaigns to reduce stigma and create genuine understanding

Join Our Mission

Whether you're a suicide loss survivor yourself, love someone who is, or simply believe that no one should face this journey alone, we invite you to join us. Together, we can create a world where grief is acknowledged without stigma, where healing resources are readily available, and where even in our darkest mourning, we're reminded that our lives are still glorious.

Because at Mourning Glory Club, we believe that with the right support, you can honor your loved one while reclaiming your own life and purpose. We offer a transformative pathway where survivors can rid themselves of guilt, shame, and regret by embracing the complex grief journey as a normal, necessary process.

What People Are Saying

"My girlfriend of 20 years, died by suicide in my arms... The most beautiful thing about Mourning Glory is the comfort of knowing you are with others who understand. This is a complicated grief because of the self blame...and that is addressed by all of us, so we can see the real truth of our love. Aleksei has put together a place of healing and self acceptance that helped me get over the crushing guilt. Her council has given me a new perspective and acceptance that I could not have done on my own...I'm sooo grateful to her and to all the thrivers at Mourning Glory Club. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Love forever, Tom"

About Our Founder

Aleksei Archer lost her father Jeremy to suicide on April 26th, 2017. Her experience was "like drowning in an insurmountable abyss of nothingness," shrouded in shame, guilt, and regret. After finding healing through connection with other suicide loss survivors, Aleksei founded Mourning Glory Club in 2020 and has since facilitated hundreds of group meetings, making it her life's mission to host "the conversation" and end the stigma associated with suicide loss.

Donate today. Because even in the darkness of your mourning, your lives are glorious. We're here to help every survivor remember that truth.
