My name is Taylor Tran and I am in my 2nd year playing violin with the Tulsa Youth Symphony. TYS is a program that teaches discipline, character, teamwork, sacrifice, and more through music. These core character traits help me grow and build skills that will be useful outside of a musical setting. One of my favorite TYS memories was when I got to play with some TYS Alumni for one of our pieces last year. And through that, I learned how fun it is to play symphony music. The Tulsa Youth Symphony is in its 59th season serving young musicians across northeast Oklahoma. Throughout these years, TYS has been able to offer over 8,000 3rd - 12th grade students the opportunity to define character, develop discipline, and orchestrate teamwork while inspiring artistic excellence.
