The SHPE Houston Scholarship Gala is our signature annual celebration where we come together to honor excellence, achievement, and community. Each year, we award scholarships to talented Hispanic students pursuing careers in STEM, while also recognizing the dedication of our chapter members and the impact they make in Houston and beyond.

At SHPE, we envision a world where Hispanics are highly valued and influential as the leading innovators, scientists, mathematicians, and engineers. The gala embodies this mission by not only celebrating today’s leaders, but also investing in the next generation of trailblazers.

Since 2020, the SHPE Houston Scholarships Program has received 547 applications and awarded scholarships to 54 students. Every recipient has pursued a STEM degree at a four-year university, with the majority identifying as first-generation college students. Many have also transferred from community colleges and balanced part-time or full-time work while in school, underscoring both their determination and the financial need your sponsorship helps address.
