2025 National Biomechanics Day

National Biomechanics Day is thriving, thanks to the amazing support from organizations, businesses, and passionate individuals like you. Since 2016, we’ve introduced biomechanics to 45,000 high school students through 620 engaging NBD events. In 2024 alone, biomechanists hosted over 60 NBD events worldwide, with the majority being live, in-person celebrations that brought biomechanics to life for over 4,100 students.

NBD has become an essential part of the biomechanics community and is celebrated as the most successful outreach program globally. Our incredible sponsors, including leading biomechanics societies and renowned instrument manufacturers, empower us to make a real difference—and we’re excited to expand our reach even further in 2025! Join us as we continue to inspire and educate the next generation of biomechanists and support talented biomechanics professionals worldwide!

We’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal of $25,000 to support exciting ongoing and new initiatives. We are dedicated to promoting diversity in biomechanics by empowering women, Black, and Latinx biomechanists through our outreach grants. We also support outreach events that showcase biomechanical research for individuals with disabilities. With your support, we’ll continue our grant programs and expand biomechanics outreach events across the globe.

But we’re just getting started! We plan to develop biomechanics kits for high school teachers, organize global biomechanics challenges, and create a vibrant virtual community platform to connect and equip biomechanists worldwide.
