Since 2016, National Biomechanics Day (NBD) has introduced biomechanics to more than 58,000 high school students through hundreds of dynamic events—and the movement keeps growing! Thanks to the incredible support of organizations, businesses, and passionate individuals like you, NBD is inspiring the next generation of biomechanists across the globe.

In 2025 alone, biomechanists hosted NBD celebrations that brought biomechanics to life for over 13,000 participants, making this our biggest year ever! What began as an idea to share the wonder of human movement has become the world’s most successful biomechanics outreach initiative and a cornerstone of our global community.

Their partnership empowers us to expand our reach even further in 2026, when we’ll celebrate 10 years of National Biomechanics Day! We’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal of $25,000 in 2026 to fuel our next wave of exciting initiatives. Your support helps us:

Empower underrepresented biomechanists through dedicated outreach grants. This year we will be opening expanding our grant program globally to fund more NBD events, especially in regions that have not yet had the opportunity to participate.
Develop biomechanics kits for high school teachers.
Create ready-to-use outreach resources, including templates for social media and presentations.
Launch the first-ever NBD Magazine to share stories, research, and innovations across the community.
Establish membership to the Biomechanics Initiative (free to all) and launch a global virtual community platform to connect and equip biomechanists worldwide.
