MÁS está celebrando 10 años de trabajo comunitario continuo para promover la conciencia sobre la historia y las contribuciones culturales de los pueblos negros, afrodescendientes, afroindígenas, afrodiásporicos, afrolatines y améfricanes de Abya Yala. Queremos invitar a nuestres artistas, voluntaries, aliades, colaboradores, financiadores y a todas las personas de nuestra comunidad a unirse a nosotres el sábado 5 de octubre de 2024 para celebrar nuestro 10º aniversario y apoyarnos para mover MÁS Pa'lante.

Uno de nuestros objetivos para esta noche es reunir a tantas personas como sea posible para divertirse y participar en un momento colectivo de gratitud y celebración del trabajo que hemos logrado colectivamente en los últimos 10 años. El acto comenzará con una actividad de mingo para animar a la gente a conectarse, seguida de una ceremonia de apertura en la que se reconocerá la tierra ancestral a través del sonido del tambor madre a medida que dirige los tambores de las regiones latinoamericanas. A continuación, compartiremos la cena, historias de impacto comunitario, arte afrolatine, y terminaremos bailando salsa juntes con Buena Vibra, un grupo de salsa de Seattle.

También nos gustaría aprovechar la oportunidad para animar a todes a unirse a nosotres en la tarea de movilizar recursos para nuestra organización y ayudarnos a alcanzar nuestro objetivo de 20.000 dólares. Con su apoyo sostenido podremos continuar activando nuestra visión de crear espacios y liberación colectiva dirigidos por y hechos para les artistas negres e indígenas, soñadores y niñes de América Latina en Seattle y más allá. Únete a nosotres para hacer realidad nuestra visión de un río que fluye constantemente, movilizando recursos financieros para nuestras comunidades de artistas y otres colaboradores.

MÁS is celebrating 10 years of continuous community work to promote awareness about the history and cultural contributions of Black, Afrodescendant, AfroIndigenous, Afro Diasporic, Afrolatino, Améfricano peoples from Abya Yala. We want to invite our artists, volunteers, allies, collaborators, funders and everyone from our community to join us on Saturday October 5th, 2024 to celebrate our 10th anniversary and support us to move MÁS Palante.

On this evening we will bring together as many people as possible to have fun and engage in a collective moment of gratitude and celebration of the work we have collectively achieved over the past 10 years. The event will open with a mingo (mingle-bingo) activity to encourage people to connect, followed with an opening ceremony acknowledging ancestral land through the sound of the mother drum as it leads the drums from Latin American regions. We will then share dinner, community impact stories, Afrolatinxs art, and end the night dancing salsa together with Buena Vibra, a Seattle salsa band.

We would also like to take the opportunity to encourage everyone to join us in the task of mobilizing resources to our organization and help us to achieve our goal of $20,000. With your sustained support we can continue activating our vision to create spaces and collective liberation by and for Black and Indigenous artists, dreamers, and children of Latin America in Seattle and beyond. Join us in realizing our vision of a constantly flowing river, mobilizing financial resources for our communities of artists and other collaborators.
