In Honor of Janet Ward Black - Allen A. Bailey Fund

NCAJ mourns the loss of Janet Ward Black, a past president of NCAJ and a shining light in the North Carolina legal community.

Ward Black Law announced that she passed away on Sunday, Nov. 2. She was 66. As founder and owner of Ward Black Law, Black led one of the state’s largest woman-owned law firms, and her life’s work advanced justice for clients, strengthened the legal profession, and invested in communities across our state.

A memorial service with a reception to follow will be held in the Mullin Life Center Friday, Nov. 14, at 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 617 N. Elm St., Greensboro. See the funeral home announcement for details and a forthcoming obituary.
