North Central High School 2023 Band Fundraiser

The North Central High School Band Program is a group of hard-working and dedicated individuals who wanted to be a part of something bigger than themselves. They believe in the power of family and the power music has on them and the community. We strive for perfection, but we also understand that the journey is just as important as the destination. Led by music director Tim Blaydon, they believe in and promote:

• Character

• Grit and determination

• Hard work and discipline

• Service to our community

• Developing superior performance ability

We are fundraising for:

• Travel fees to regional and state music festivals

• Travel opportunities to participate and/or watch performing and fine art workshops and performances

• New music for our ensembles

• New instruments and equipment (stands, instrument accessories, and etc.)

This fundraiser helped achieve the goal to acquire a Yamaha HD-300 Harmony Director Instructional Keyboard (roughly $699). It’s a modern keyboard that has been helping bands all of the country improve their tuning. That was purchased, thank you thank you! Any additional funds raised will be applied to the above list of items, as needed.

If you're interested in seeing the bands perform, they have several events left this year:

Lilac Festival Parade - May 20, 2023 at 745 PM, Spokane, WA

Chamber Night - May 23rd, 6pm to 8pm at the NC Theater. The evening will start in the skylight with our jazz combo and catering from NC’s culinary arts program. We will collect tickets for this event near by the theater that night and will be sold for $5, which will help pay for the catering and for the department’s expenses (travel, supplies, music, etc.). At 7:00pm, we will start the chamber music in the theater! This is a fun, social event, please come, and bring family and friends!

Final Band Concert of the 2022-2023 school year will be May 30th! NC Theater, 7pm, FREE.
