Their work has never been about making money. And now they no longer have the resources they need. The letter below from Limina Foundation explains how you can help them. Dear Friends and Family,

Our beloved Jack and Ricci, elders in the psychedelic field, need our help. Having worked internationally, together and individually for over forty years, they have been creating safe spaces for people to find their own inner strength. At a time when doing this work was a high risk, they persevered for decades and successfully brought this therapeutic healing to unknown numbers of people in need. Their philosophy on how to attend to people in this deep space has had a huge influence on how this therapeutic work is now conducted.

We are all called upon now to honor these teachers by supporting them at this transition time in their lives.

Ricci, at 90 years, is now quite fragile, and in need of care after a fall last year. Jack at 82 has succumbed to dementia. Both are currently mobile with the use of walkers. They are both in need of 24/7 care to help with their daily needs. Their children, Pam and Cedric, have managed to keep them together at the same facility in Oahu, closer to Ricci’s son Cedric. However, their savings have now been depleted. They need our help. While their children are very supportive, the financial demands have grown beyond them. Gratefully, they are together at Lunalilo Home in a modest two-person room. Lunalilo is providing their constant care, from laundry to meals, nursing assistance, social workers, along with other helpers.

If we can’t come up with their funding, they would have to separate and move to a Medicaid facility. It is especially difficult to find services that can accommodate dementia patients, and keeping them together is a paramount concern.

Here is a summary of their current expenses and income:

1) Lunalilo Home costs $11,800 monthly for a 2-person room with housekeeping, meals, nurses, assistant nurses, social workers, and other helpers. This is a full price resident fee with a 50% discount for the spouse. This is very reasonable for such care. Lunalilo

Home strongly believes in the healing powers of keeping married couples together. It’s part of their philosophy of supporting the Ohana (family) during the aging process.

2) Their current monthly social security income is $2,500 which would cover additional monthly expenses (cell phone, storage, medical insurance).

If we generate the monthly fees for Lunalilo Home through The Circle of Donors, Limina Foundation will write the monthly check for Lunalilo Home.

Please help Jack and Ricci with an ongoing commitment to some portion of their monthly care, for as long as you can. Pam, Jack’s daughter, will be sharing quarterly updates, and can answer questions. Pam’s email is coddingtonpr@gmail.com.

Ricci is very fragile at age 90 and Jack had 2 strokes and suffers from dementia. They are not able to live by themselves anymore and need full care. The

place where they stay is actually originally for Hawaiian people and the staff is very supportive and loving so they are very well taken care of. Ricci and Jack have done psychedelic work for many decades with many people, sharing generously their love, support and wisdom.
