AALEADers, Mentors, Volunteers, Families and Friends!

In celebration of National Mentoring Month this January, we are thrilled to invite you to our Mentoring Month Celebration! Join us for a special gathering at the Industrious Office — 14 Ridge Square NW, Suite 300, Washington, DC 20016.

The event will feature a variety of engaging sessions and activities, some for everyone to enjoy together, and others designed for smaller groups. We’ll also be providing lunch to make sure you’re fueled for a day of connection and celebration. All youth must complete an AALEAD intake form to attend (we will email you if you do not have a completed form). If you registered and can no longer attend, please let us know.

ACTIVITIES:

We will start off the day with a Mindfulness Session, followed by a Panel on the Power of Mentorship. Lunch will be catered by Meiwah. After lunch, we will have two separate workshops for youth and adults; Social Emotional Learning for Youth and Supporting Youth for Adults.

Afterwards, we will have separate activities for Speed Chatting for Unmatched people, Mentor Support Group for Current Mentors, and Letters to Mentors, Vision Board, and Memory Wall activity for Current Mentees.

DIRECTIONS:

Metro - please take the red line to Tenleytown-AU Metro Station, AALEAD's office is a 15 minute walk from the metro station or you can take one of bus lines.

Car - There is ample free/cheap street parking on Wisconsin Ave, as well as a garage near Wegmans and the office for a fee.
