HOBY was founded by Hugh O’Brian in 1958 as a nonprofit organization with the same mission we work toward today–to inspire a global community of youth and volunteers to a life dedicated to leadership, service, and innovation.

HOBY Florida-West is proud to have hosted 100+ Ambassadors from across the west coast of Florida every June at Eckerd college for the last 20+ years, and we dont plan to stop anytime soon! Powered by an incredible group of volunteer staff and funded by generous donors like yourself, HOBY FL-W will continue to teach students how to think, not what to think. We believe that in order to create positive change, you must first understand yourself and those around you. We are excited to host our newest group of Ambassadors this June and thank you for your contribution to aid in our mission!
