Hurricane Idalia

Tropical Storm Idalia began just off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula and became a hurricane as it made its way toward Florida. It made landfall in the Big Bend area of Florida as a category 3 hurricane on the morning of Aug 31, 2023. The storm created some damage between the Big Bend of Florida, crossing Georgia and rounding up the east coast. Most of the damage was the result of the storm surge and flooding due to the amount of rain the storm brought with it.
