Together with our Scientific Advisors we have created a 3-year research plan that requires fundraising $365,000 in the first year

As a Foundation we want to speed up the understanding of BBSOAS and most importantly find treatment for our children and families. To do this, we need to raise $365,000 to drive our research roadmap.

Giving Tuesday is coming up on November 28 and thanks to generous donors we have been offered $17,500 in matching donation - but we only get it if you can help us match that. If we hit our goal we can fund a post doctoral scientfic researcher for 12 months.

This is just the start to our year round campaign to raise $365,000.

What will $365,000 fund in the Research Roadmap in year 1?

1. 3 Post Doctoral researchers to work alongside our lead scientists to exclusively research NR2F1 and BBSOAS for 3 years, in US, France and Germany (will require additional fundraising for year 2 and 3)
2. A NR2F1 ‘New Investigator’ grant. Attract junior researchers to research the NR2F1 gene
3. Develop a new BBSOAS mouse model
4. Discovery of BBSOAS Biomarkers – we will host a biorepository collection at our 2024 Family Conference and develop a BBSOAS biomarker
