When LGBTQIA+ people are released from prison in Oregon and Washington, they face an uphill battle. They soon find that housing programs and other services, which are already hard to come by, often have gender requirements that exclude them. Hundreds of people land in the streets and get forced into survival crimes that land them back where they started. At Beyond These Walls, we are working to change that.
