On behalf of the board, staff, and volunteers, we want to thank you for your membership in support of the Neal Taylor Nature Center at Cachuma Lake. Your gift has helped move us closer to raising the needed funds annually to operate the Nature Center and further its mission.

Your gift makes it possible for the Nature Center to continue offering its engaging and educational programs to children and their families from Santa Barbara County and beyond. Getting children and their families out into “their own backyard” to discover, understand and appreciate the beauty of Cachuma Lake and the Santa Ynez watershed are our priorities.

Each year, thousands of children from area schools, youth organizations and organized trips experience the Nature Center first-hand as part of their school field-trip program or as special planned visits. In addition, the Center’s innovative programs such as – Food for Thought lecture series, Creepy Creatures, Going Batty, Kids and Adult Fishing Workshops, Trout in the Classroom and Saving Wildlife programs strive to fascinate and encourage exploration and a deeper understanding of Nature. These programs are possible through your ongoing support and generosity.

THE NEAL TAYLOR NATURE CENTER WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1988, TO ENCOURAGE PUBLIC UNDERSTANDING, ENJOYMENT, AND PROTECTION OF CACHUMA LAKE, THE UPPER SANTA YNEZ RIVER, AND THE SAN RAFAEL MOUNTAIN RANGE WATERSHED.
