Near West Recreation has been serving the Near West Side of Cleveland since 2012. Over the past ten years, Near West Recreation has provided youth with with countless opportunities to participate in sport leagues, camps, and clinics. To limit barriers of entry, families have always been given the opportunity to pay a registration fee that they can afford.

On average, over 50% of youth participants request some form of financial assistance at an annual loss of $20,000 in registration fees. With the creation of the Champion’s Fund, Near West Recreation will be able to continue to offer financial assistance to families in need while not having to lower the quality of programming offered.
