NYICFF has been a part of my life for almost a dozen years. It started with me scouring the New York Times for weekend activities for toddlers and that's where I first discovered the festival! My older daughter and I attended faithfully every year and then her younger sister came along and we did too...I remember the first foreign language film with English subtitles, worried that one or both them wouldn't be able to keep up. I was wrong! We have seen dozens of awesome films over the years and I have continued to serve with great enthusiasm on NYICFF's Board of Directors. We were celebrating marginalized voices across the globe through both short film programs and feature length films long before it was the right thing to do. Our films challenge our children to think critically, show empathy and so much more.... The Not for Kids Benefit is our one big fundraiser for the year. Please join me in supporting NYICFF!
