Chris Deisley January 2, 1959 – January 20, 2015 Join us in celebrating the life and legacy of Chris Deisley on the tenth anniversary of his passing by supporting the Northside Youth Organization’s (NYO) $28.5+ million Sharing the Gift capital campaign. Chris Deisley was an NYO coach, Assistant Commissioner, and dedicated volunteer whose impact was felt by everyone around him. Chris embodied the true spirit of teamwork, always working behind the scenes to ensure the league ran smoothly, never seeking recognition but always making a difference. His quiet dedication and unwavering commitment earned him the deep respect of all who knew him. Sadly, Chris passed away ten years ago after a courageous battle with brain cancer, but his legacy lives on. Each year, NYO honors his memory by selecting one player who best exemplifies the values that Chris held dear—character, sportsmanship, and leadership. Through this tradition, we continue to celebrate the qualities that made Chris such an integral part of our community and an inspiration to us all. The Deisley family is honored to make a heartfelt contribution to support NYO’s campaign scholarship fund in Chris’s memory, reflecting the deep love and passion he had for this incredible organization. Through this campaign, NYO will expand opportunities, reduce barriers, and ensure that every child has access to the transformative experience of sport. Help us honor Chris’s legacy and make a lasting impact on the next generation of young athletes. Together, we can share the gift of sport with more of Atlanta’s youth, no matter their background.
