This is an ongoing virtual event where we will be offering different ways for you to donate and potentially win some fabulous prizes. Check back frequently throughout 2023 to see what you could win next!
We have plenty of generous sponsors who have donated some great prizes for us to raffle in order to raise funds to cover expenses for our competing acts in the International Blues Challenge. This virtual "event" will run the rest of 2023 and host a series of raffles, auctions, and other chances to donate and potentially win some great stuff!
Story
The International Blues Challenge represents the worldwide search for blues bands and solo/duo blues performers ready for the international stage, yet just needing that extra big break. The world’s largest gathering of blues musicians will take place on Beale Street, with over 20 clubs hosting the challengers and fans. Started by the Blues Foundation in 1984, this competition has hosted the likes of Susan Tedeschi, Tommy Castro, and Sean Costello.
The Nashville Blues & Roots Alliance will be sending 3 acts to compete in the challenge in the band, solo/duo, and youth categories. This is a great opportunity for an up and coming blues artist to get access to a wider audience and access to music industry professionals.
We'd love to be able to cover as much of these bands' expenses for their travel and week long stay in Memphis while they compete for this world wide respected recognition. These proceeds go towards travel expenses and our supporting activities for their particiaption in the historic challenge.
