As we enter this season of giving, WoW is so grateful to have shared another successful season with Tompkins County audience members alongside the local artists who brought Extended Stay to life with us at Kitchen Theatre Company! Thank you to everyone who helped us make this dream a reality.

We hope that you'll join us in these efforts once again as we prepare for our 10th season: our goal is to raise $2026 by the end of the year in honor of our upcoming 2026 production. WoW and The Finger Lakes New Works Festival are joining forces to bring the Ithaca premiere of Daughters (Hijas): A New Musical to the stage. This powerful new work written by Julián Mesri and Saviana Stanescu, co-created with Courtney Young Socher, explores the profound connections between mothers and daughters that transcend time, space, and borders.

Daughters (Hijas) follows Andrea, an Argentinian-Romanian-American NYU student determined to uncover her family's buried history in Argentina—despite her mother Mariana's reluctance to confront the past. Who is Andrea's real Abuela? Clara, who disappeared during Argentina's Military Junta, or Beatriz, who raised Mariana? With support from her father Bogdan, himself an immigrant who escaped persecution in Romania, Andrea embarks on a journey where bloodlines and lifelines collide in the search for truth and identity.
