A financial award, in honor of George Neale, Avalon class of 1951; Howard Stewart, class of 1950; and David Brandon, class of 1969, is presented each spring to a Northgate senior who best balances leadership, outstanding academics, extracurricular activities, and community service.  It has been awarded each year since 1964. The original goal of the fund was to provide assistance to a senior in need, essentially, a borrowing fund. It has evolved into a college scholarship fund to assist in their pursuit of a college degree.
