In 2015, after Nepal’s devastating earthquakes, an even darker crisis emerged: child trafficking surged in rural villages. Girls from Ghyangphedi were being lured away with promises of work or school — many never returned.

We refused to look away. Together with local leaders, we built the Girls INpowerment Center: a safe home where girls could live, learn, and grow free from exploitation.
