At Birchwood Behavioral Health, a part of Alaska Baptist Family Services, we are dedicated to serving some of the most vulnerable youth and families in Alaska through our inpatient and outpatient programs. Every day, our cottages and offices provide not just care, but a safe and stable environment where healing, growth, and hope can flourish.

Unfortunately, our facility is facing an urgent need: our boiler system has failed. Without a new boiler, we will be forced to shut down one of our cottages as well as our administrative office. This would directly impact the lives of the children, teens, and families we serve—disrupting their care, reducing the number of youth we can house, and placing additional strain on our staff who faithfully show up to care for them every day.

The cost to replace the boiler is significant, but the need is greater. We cannot continue this mission without a functioning system to provide heat and stability for our residents and staff.
