Right now, a hard rain or a bad mosquito night can shut AGNIS down mid-gathering. I'm rebuilding her roof with Dyneema composite fabric — waterproof, translucent, and light enough to still pack and travel with — so you can watch rain bead and roll across the ceiling while the fire's going underneath.

The peak gets its own fire-resistant, soot-dark cap with a vented chimney, so heat and air keep moving instead of building up. Below the roofline, fresh bug netting drops down the sides — sealed against mosquitoes without blocking the airflow this design depends on.

AGNIS is amphibious, so this covering is built to work whether she's set up on land or floating on the water — the mesh runs a few extra feet to still reach the ground (or trampoline line) on either version.

I'm also laying a 14' circular floor: puzzle-mat flooring that's acroyoga-friendly and can take a spill (quesadilla incidents included) or a wet weekend without falling apart.

This is a smaller, concrete upgrade - materials I can build myself this season, not a someday dream. There's no place like Dome, rain or shine.

Where this $3,700 goes:

- Dyneema composite fabric for the roof (~25 sq yd) — $750

- Seam tape, thread, grommets — $150

- Fire-resistant, soot-dark fabric for the chimney cap — $200

- Vented rain cap for the chimney — $100

- Bug-proof mesh for the sides (sized for both land and water setups) — $450

- Circular acroyoga-friendly floor, 41 interlocking mats (using halved pieces at the edge) — $1,558

Subtotal: $3,208

(+ ~15% buffer for material price shifts and shipping)

STRETCH GOAL: $5,000

Once materials are covered, anything beyond goes toward the countless hours that go into building and maintaining AGNIS.
