Noel was found outside a Subway in Cleveland, Texas, with a severe tail injury and singed hind legs. Similar injuries to animals have been reported across Liberty County suggesting this may not have been an accident. Our vet believes his injury appears deliberate, but what matters most is that Noel is now safe and warm and receiving care.
Despite his pain, Noel is a sweet, loving 4-month-old who adores other cats and even dogs. He recently underwent a challenging but successful tail amputation surgery after his tail was completely degloved to the base. To reduce infection risk, his neuter has been delayed until his sutures are removed on 12/16. He is now being monitored for potential long-term effects, like bowel control issues, but his spirit remains unshaken—he just wants love and affection.
We’re also deeply concerned about increasing reports of similar injuries in Liberty County. If you encounter animals with injuries like Noel's, please notify us so we can investigate and work to stop this cruelty.
Together, we can give Noel and others like her the bright future they deserve. ❤️
Note: If we raise more than is needed for Noel's medical bills and care, any additional funds will be transferred to our general fund to help other animals in need.
