Story

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Join Nutmeg Spay/Neuter Clinic on November 30 for Giving Tuesday 2021 and be part of the solution. Your help will support our community outreach and our Pets for Life program.

The bond people have with their pets should not depend on income, the zip code they are in, or the language they speak. Everyone who wants to provide a loving home to animals deserves access to the resources that help keep pets happy and healthy. At Nutmeg, we break down the barriers many pet owners face to help keep pets happy and healthy in the homes they have.

Your tax-deductible donation will help families in need, and their pets live together for life!

Giving Tuesday has turned into a 75-country movement worldwide, 240+ community campaigns in the U.S., 9 years of growing generosity worldwide, and millions of generous people doing good. Now is your opportunity to help locally, where we work hard every day to help companion animals in need.

Meet Alix and Diamond

In 2015 Alix' family lost everything to a house fire. Thankfully, Diamond, the family's Cocker Spaniel mix, survived with all of Alix's family members. Alix says the event "left the family in shock," but having his family and Diamond safe and healthy helped him move forward.

Five years after the fire, Diamond was diagnosed with pyometra, a life threatening uterine infection. He was told that a spay surgery was Diamond's best chance of survival. That is when Alix, a college student, reached out to Nutmeg Spay/Neuter Clinic for help.

The team at Nutmeg immediately scheduled Diamond for emergency surgery. Understanding the importance of spay/neuter, Alix also scheduled Luna the cat, and the newest family member. Both pets were provided services under Nutmeg's Pets for Life program.

Alix commented on how the "staff was exemplary and very friendly" to him and his pets. "They showed a lot of love to both pets," says Alix.

Won't you help us help more pets like Diamond? Diamond has a loving home, and with the help of Pets for Life, his family can keep her healthy. Please support Nutmeg's Pets for Life program this GivingTuesday.
