TSEJA: GIVING TUESDAY

Build the Foundation of Freedom. Build the JA3M Museum.

Dear Friends of Tri State Expo Juneteenth Affairs (TSEJA),

On Giving Tuesday 2025, we are not just asking for donations—we are asking you to invest in a legacy. For TSEJA, every day is dedicated to fostering progressive thinking individuals through an atmosphere of community participation and educational engagement for African Americans and others directly affected by the TransAtlantic-Global Slave Trade.

Our 2026 Goal: Launching a Cultural Landmark

Our most ambitious project yet is within reach, but we need your help to complete it. Our fundraising goal for 2026 is $250,000 to finalize the renovation and open the doors of the Juneteenth African American Arts Museum & Repository (JA3M).

Nestled in the Historic Dixie Depot Community & Downtown Dothan, this 3,880 sq. ft. facility will be a permanent beacon of history and artistic expression. The JA3M Facility will house:

  • A vast collection of Juneteenth-Dothan historical images.

  • Authentic African artifacts.

  • Artwork created by BIPOC and other artists in the Tri-State Area.

This museum will serve as the physical heart of our mission, providing year-round access to education and culture.

Fueling Programs That Propel Progress

While we build the Museum, your support also sustains the programs that shape progressive thinkers today:

  • Revitalization of the Historic Dixie Depot Community: Ongoing work to restore and empower this historical neighborhood.

  • JA3M Film Festival & Cinematic Artists Development: Supporting and showcasing the creative vision of local filmmakers and artists, especially those with a BIPOC perspective.

  • Historical Seminars: Providing crucial educational outreach and dialogue on history and current events.

  • Annual Juneteenth Celebration: Ensuring our flagship event in downtown Dothan remains a powerful platform for community and commerce.

Your Gift Today Secures the JA3M Launch for January 2027

The $250,000 goal is the final, crucial step to transform the vision of the JA3M Museum into a reality. This Giving Tuesday, help us turn construction plans into a cultural home for the Tri-State community.

The time to build history is now.

  • Goal: $250,000 to open the Juneteenth African American Arts Museum

Thank you for investing in education, art, and the future of our community.

Sincerely,

The Tri State Expo Juneteenth Affairs (TSEJA) Team
