Stories of lived experiences shared with other women have long been part of the Italian American cultural experience. At work, at church, or simply around the kitchen table, Italian American women have shared stories that celebrate, mourn, seek to understand, or simply chronicle everyday life and experiences. The memoir writing workshop will serve as a vehicle to revisit, document, and preserve our stories and will provide an opportunity to reflect on the influence of these stories in shaping our identities.
The structure of the workshop will include writing tips and prompts to facilitate the writing process. The event will be led by NOIAW Greater Boston Area Steering Committee Lorraine Mangione, Linda Cardillo, and Sandi Grasso. Published authors Linda Cardillo and Lorraine Mangione will facilitate the writing process with the assistance of Sandi Grasso.
Admission fees: $10 Members | $20 Non Members.
Admittance is limited to 15 people.
