You know how life can sometimes feel like you're just figuring things out as you go?
That's been my journey, especially during the pandemic years.
I can’t remember how I learned about the Culture Shock dance studio, but it seriously became my home away from home. For someone who used to be a super shy kid and avoided the dance floor at all costs, stepping into that studio was a big deal.
But guess what I learned? It's not just about learning cool moves & technique (though that's definitely nice!). It's about this amazing community of people who just love dance. It's a happy place where I can let loose, forget about worries, and just have fun. It’s been such a great way to boost my confidence and step outside my comfort zone.
It's funny, life has pushed me through depths and heights, literally going through culture shocks left and right from being a first-gen college grad to navigating the twists and turns of my career. The Culture Shock dance studio is so welcoming, embracing vibrancy and inclusivity and serving as a community for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Having a passion for dance reminds me of a great importance- No matter what is going on, keep on moving and putting yourself out there. Throughout so many life transitions this dance studio has been a constant in my life. I’d say it's even a therapeutic place where I can express myself in a whole new way.
That's why I wanted to reach out and ask for your support. If you believe in the power of community and the arts, please consider making a donation to Culture Shock. Every little bit helps them continue to provide this vital space for so many of us.
Studios like Culture Shock offer a positive and creative outlet for so many, including young people, making dance studios accessible to everyone.
Thanks for reading, and let's keep supporting the spaces that bring joy and community to our lives.
