Noah Valecruz's Story

Hello everyone, I hope you enjoyed my Afta Shock Campaign page. I would like to share some parts about myself.

I'm Noah Valecruz and I've been dancing for a dozen (like 12) years. The first time I moved out of San Diego, CA, with my family took place in Olympia, WA for three years, while my dad was in the Navy back then. Afterwards, I lived in Alexandria, VA near Washington D.C. the first time before I was over ceased in Cairo, Egypt for three years (from 2007 to 2010). Next, after we moved back to Virginia in Springfield the second time for two years, we also lived in Bangkok, Thailand for three years (from 2012 to 2015) when I first started dancing in ballet at age 14, which was a little complicated during my second year living there. After I heard a little bit about Culture Shock San Diego at age 15, I got to perform in the ballet performance called, "Midsummer Night's Dream" in May 2015. Afterwards, I lived in Alexandria, VA the third time for throughout my sophomore year in high school, I was with Virginia Ballet Company and was in two performances, like "The Nutcracker" in the winter and "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" in the spring. But then, we moved back to San Diego, CA unexpectedly in August 2016, my parents divorced in the summer. Thereafter, I did last seven years of ballet at South bay Dance Academy, which began in 2016, during my junior and senior year in high school, while danced and completed my Associate's in Performing Arts & Dance at San Diego City Community College in May 2022. Unfortunately, the rest of 2020 was such a lonely moment since COVID was horrible.

City Moves Dance Performance at San Diego City College in Spring 2022

While I took a year and a half off after I graduated from San Diego City College, I worked for the government for two years. In June 2022, I attended auditions for Sesame Place, even if I sadly didn't make it in there. After I began my first job in November 2022 and left in July 2023, I felt to my attention to get back to my education a little more before I applied and plan to transfer to San Diego State University in Fall 2026. During that time while I worked for a little bit, I started taking other dance classes at Culture Shock San Diego. The first two times, I auditioned for Culture Shock San Diego after I did not get accepted in there. But, I was happy yo freely participate with Wheelchair Dancers Organizations before we performed in with them in May 2023. After I didn't get accepted to be in Afta Shock the first time, it was super impressive to get promoted to dance with them four times in my life.

I began these two jobs after I graduated from community college, even though I had to get continue my education a little more.

Performance Videos & Portrait Photos

Throughout the past two years, I experienced very exciting and positive moments when I got to dance participate with Afta Shock thirteen times. These performances that we did took place in different locations throughout the seasons. In Spring 2023, we performed in the auditorium at in Project FX at Lincoln High School in April and Shock'n The Park at Liberty Station. Plus, performing in the winter dance showcase, "The Gift" four times on two Saturdays at Culture Shock and in Coastal Christmas in Del Mar before 2024 ended, was such a joyful and fresh moment.

To be honest, Culture Shock is like my first home since I positively resigned from Southbay Dance Academy in December 2022 after the Nutcracker performance. I found location a very ordinary environment, respect, courtesy, friendship, self-control, and proper teamwork. The accomplishments from the instructors, co-directors, team mates, and friends truly create a very important influence to our friendly environment.

Please continue to spread loyalty against Culture Shock that's been around over 30 years, while making ordinary donations. I never expect too much. Also, feel free to take any dance classes at the dance studio if you would like to attend one of these days so I could show you what's offered.

Thank you for checking out my page site. You're always welcome to share my story to some of your friends and family. Kind words of support is acknowledgeable. Last but not least, feel free to check out my web page about how Culture Shock creates a very important environment influence to our friendly environment.
