Join us Sunday, Sept 17th for our last Open Barn Day of 2023!! We will be open from 11 am – 3 pm for you to come meet the rescued residents of Kanda Farm Sanctuary, enjoy delicious vegan food, play games, meet new people, and more! After an amazing time at our 5 Year Bash in May, we’re going to do this event the same way, but it’s a little different than our Open Barn Days in the past. Please read carefully: Instead of our regular structured tours, we are offering an open setting for you to explore the sanctuary & get to know our residents! You can meander within the main area as you please, petting the residents who come up to the fence to greet you and watching the others as they live their lives doing what they love to do. Volunteers will be around to answer questions and tell you about the residents. Hubert, Cubert, Annabel, Primrose, & Albert will also likely be wandering the main area looking for snuggles! You will also be able to meet Mason & Clayton, and we’ll have little Theodorable out to greet you (as long as he wants to stay out). Along with the animals, there will be vendors, including food, and games for you to enjoy and a bunch of fun Kanda merch to support the sanctuary! We will offer one Beyond the Gates Tour for anyone who would like to get an even closer experience with the pigs! There are only 20 spots available and tickets for this tour are $25 each. Tour will start promptly at 1 pm est and last about an hour. Closed toed shoes are required for this tour. Stay tuned for a list of vendors that will be attending the celebration! We will also happily accept donations at the event to help us run the sanctuary as well as produce donations. Please note, any produce donations will be saved for us to process & distribute to the residents at a later date. The safety of our residents, along with your own, are our top priorities. Because we solely exist to provide peace and safety to these rescued animals, interaction with the residents is on their terms only. If they do not feel up to it, they will not be forced to participate in any way. We will ask anyone to leave who is jeopardizing the residents safety or peace of mind.
