For me, Oakwood Creative Care isn’t just a workplace—it’s a mission, a calling, and a tribute to the women who shaped my life: my grandmothers.
Growing up, I watched my grandmas give their hearts to their families, their communities, and their passions. They were strong, vibrant, and full of life. But as they aged, I saw firsthand how our society often overlooks seniors, especially those facing dementia and other cognitive challenges. It broke my heart to see people who had given so much suddenly feel invisible.
That’s why I do this work. That’s why I pour my energy, my creativity, and my heart into Oakwood. Because I believe that every person—regardless of their age or diagnosis—deserves to feel seen, valued, and full of purpose.
For 50 years, Oakwood Creative Care has been a place where individuals living with dementia and their families find hope, dignity, and joy. We provide innovative care that focuses on what’s still possible, not just what’s been lost. We give caregivers the support they desperately need. We create moments of laughter, music, art, and connection that change lives.
As we celebrate Oakwood’s 50th birthday, I invite you to be part of this mission. Your support isn’t just a donation—it’s an investment in the future of compassionate care. It’s a way to ensure that more families, like mine, have a place where their loved ones are honored and embraced.
Join me in building the next 50 years of impact. Because at Oakwood, we’re not just caring for people—we’re creating a movement of love, dignity, and purpose for generations to come.
Will you contribute and help us continue this legacy?
