The Draper Innovation Index (DII), an initiative of the BizWorld Foundation (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit), is a data-driven tool designed to track and evaluate the health of entrepreneurial ecosystems in the U.S. and around the world.

Unlike traditional academic-focused indices, the DII offers a practical perspective rooted in entrepreneurship and venture capital. It measures key factors that drive startup success and economic growth—such as employment creation, VC funding, startup culture, tax policy, and intellectual property development.
