OHF A-10 Flight Simulator Project
Operation HIGH FLIGHT (OHF) is on a mission! In addition to Honoring those who selflessly serve, we are passionate about our dream to Inspire the next generation of leaders. The Maryland Air National Guard (MD ANG) is helping make that dream a reality and your contributions will help carry us across the finish line! The MD ANG is donating a retired A-10 Part Task Trainer (PTT). Though only designed for switch familiarization and egress training, we’re transforming it into a functioning A-10 flight simulator!
Our plan:
- Replace the original controls with a Thrustmaster HOTAS system ($730)
- Swap the basic display for a VR headset with true 360° immersion ($550)
- Power it with a high-end gaming PC running DCS World ($2300)
Once complete, this simulator will become a cornerstone of our aerospace education program for 6th–12th graders and enhance our Sportster & Stearman orientation flights for veterans, first responders, and children’s hospital patients.
The PTT is currently near Baltimore. We’ll need two people to fly down ($600), rent a U-Haul ($500), and bring it home ($75).
Ready to help us Honor, Inspire, and Soar? Your donation will get this A-10 simulator to the next level!
