C.A.R.E. Program
In our state, horses that are reported for neglect are rarely removed from their environment. Instead, owners are often only told to “feed your horse.” This leaves many horse owners without real resources, and leaves concerned community members frustrated and helpless.
That’s where the CARE Program (Community Awareness & Resources for Equines) steps in.
We are piloting a first-of-its-kind program that offers direct support to horse owners who may be struggling. Our goal is create solutions that improve the horse’s overall health, happiness, and welfare.
By building a bridge between owners, community members, and equine advocates, the CARE Program:
- Resources for feed, veterinary care, and welfare check-ins.
- Connects horse owners with resources they may not have known existed.
- Relieves the frustration of community members who want to see horses cared for, not forgotten.
- Increases awareness and accountability while keeping horses safe.
This pilot program is designed to turn concern into action and give struggling horses a real chance at recovery and long-term well-being.
✨ With your support, we can grow CARE into a model that brings relief to owners, hope to communities, and healthier lives to horses.
