Since 1959, when the Danish American Society (DAS) was incorporated as a non-profit, non-political membership organization, it has pursued the goal of promoting friendship and understanding between the peoples of Denmark and the United States.

Today, DAS continues to operate as a nonprofit foundation dedicated to expanding Danish American ties, partnership, and cultural awareness.
