The Giving Tree Christmas Program

Healthy Start has decided we want all of our local families to have the best holiday ever! 2022 marks the third official year of our "Giving Tree" Christmas Program. This program has been a success solely due to the overflowing love and support provided by our community members, local businesses and organizations.

In the first year that we came on social media asking for the community's assistance with purchasing Christmas gifts for a few high-risk families, we were able to serve ALL of the families enrolled into the Healthy Start home visiting program. Last year, we felt so much support from our community, we were able to serve over 375 children that were enrolled in ALL 3 of our local home visiting programs - including Healthy Start, Parents As Teachers and Helping People Succeed. We desperately hope we can do the same this year again. We currently have 234 children left in need of a Santa sponsor this year. If we spend $25 a child, we still need to raise $5,850.
